Missed two months of school for a surfing contest, encountered a near death experience with a grizzly bear, and lived 17 years as a prince in Great Britain:
All things Daniel Streadbeck has not done.
But other people think he has.
Daniel Streadbeck, a sophomore majoring in advertising from Villa Park, California, has not always been a liar. He likes to call it "storytelling." As a boy, he would sit in his room, fabricating stories to fool his parents and friends.
And that hasn't changed.
Every new person he meets gets a new story on the spot. "I am never the same on the outside to more than one person," he says.
Danny, as his friends call him, "enjoy[s] making people laugh." His dream is to become a successful advertiser or consultant- and with his quick, imaginative mind and sense of humor, he has his future cut out for him.
In his spare time, Danny likes to talk to his family, the people that bring him "the greatest joy in life," he says. From his vibrant blonde hair to his dynamic personality, as the middle child of seven, Danny does anything but blend in.
One of his biggest fears is having people know about and/or make fun of him for his "disabilities;" "disabilities" meaning Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). The same "disability" that actually enhances what he does best- thinking fast and creatively on his feet. Danny's "disability," is part of what makes him the lively, multifaceted person everybody who knows him, loves.
There are many other stories that could be told about Danny.
But they'd probably all be made up.
