I start most sentences these days with the disclaimer- "We do everything wrong" followed by e.g. "but Belle likes Yo Gabba Gabba," or "we eat Kraft Macaroni and Cheese every Sunday," or "we're still seriously lacking in the furniture department, but yeah we are going on that awesome vacation next month," or "good thing we bought one of those convertible cribs so maybe someday it will be used," blah blah blah.
